Course Summary
MODULE I-PREPARATION FOR 6TH GRADE
In this module, some major concepts of math have been discussed briefly which are strands for a 6th-grade curriculum. So, this module is suited for the students crossing the bridge from 5th grade to 6th grade. By the end of this module, they will be able to –
- understand the concepts behind whole numbers and use of them
- learn how to do multiplication
- learn how to do division
- learn briefly about exponents and how to use them
- learn the concepts of number theory in detail
- learn about properties and how to do mixed operations
- learn how to use ratios and rates to compare data
MODULE 2-PREPARATION FOR 7TH GRADE
In this module, some major concepts of math have been discussed briefly which are strands for a 7th-grade curriculum. So, this module is suited for students crossing the bridge from 6th grade to 7th grade. This module will ensure that students are covering each of these learning targets:
- Developing a brief knowledge of equations and inequalities
- Learning extends the use of the basic arithmetic operations on integers, fractions, mixed numbers, and decimals.
- Understanding the relationship between exponents and square roots
- Learning the use of ratios, rates, and properties to compare and solve problems
MODULE 3-PREPARATION FOR 8TH GRADE
In this module, the primary strands for an 8th-grade math curriculum are briefly discussed. So, this module is suited for students crossing the bridge from 7th grade to 8th grade. The following is a general list of some math learning objectives of this module:
- Identifying rational and irrational numbers and a clear understanding of their operations
- Learning the procedures to solve equations
- Learning to solve problems in two variables using linear equations
- Analyzing system of equations
